Here is the second of two habits you can consciously chose, that will alter the course of your life, remove that invisible ceiling and propel you towards the happiness and success you desire.
Habit #2
Intentions. One of the biggest sources of unhappiness is the feeling of powerlessness. The feeling of having to deal with the stuff life throws at you makes you feel like you will never live life on your own terms. Living via intention counters this common block to happiness.
Your life follows the thoughts you have. If you focus your thoughts on what you want, then what you want tends to occur. Once you have implemented the habit of gratitude, you will reinforce your newfound feeling of power by celebrating when your intentions become reality. This reinforces the fact that you are in charge of your life experience, which creates even more happiness and success.
By setting your intentions, you no longer give The Drunk Monkey control of your life. I have my life coaching clients set intentions for each quarter, month, week and daily. Try it. Ask yourself the questions like,
How do I want to feel today?
What do I want to experience today?
What results would I like to produce?
What experiences do I want to have?
Who do I want to be in this life?
By answering these questions, you get clarity. That clarity pulls you in the direction of your intended outcomes. Next thing you know you are living the life you have been dreaming about and that feeling of power naturally makes you happy. Try it today.
