Sometimes you have to take a stand for what you believe in. Sometimes the entire structure of your life is fighting against your deepest desire. These moments of extreme resistance, breakdown and depression are actually transition points from one type of living to the next.
New life come with a hefty price. It is destructive. Your old life will fight back, push you down and tell you that you can’t have what you want.
In those moments you must learn to tame The Drunk Monkey and take a stand for what you believe is possible. It’s not easy, it’s not effortless and it’s not enjoyable. It’s scary and hard. But the reward of your new life is worth the temporary pain and destruction. So go for it.
Are you willing to take a stand for the life you want?

Dear Matthew,
You have the amazing ability to simply say the right words at the right time.
Thank you!
My awareness immediately got stronger…Or, better said, I remember once more
to be aware!
Shortly before my Master Osho left his body, he said:
“Just remember one thing, and that is witnessing. Call it awareness, call it total consciousness, call it what Buddha used to call sammasati, right remembering, but witnessing is the most important word out of all these.”
Thank you for reminding me!
With appreciation,
~Deva
Hit the nail right on the head again coach!! Today I decided to grab life by the horns and not settle for anything less than what I truly desire. I made the decision, it is final and I applied the right action towards it! Nevertheless to say, I feel free as a bird!!! Hope you’re enjoying our cooling Seattle weather!
Sounds like what a caterpillar does before becoming a butterfly. I wonder if the caterpillar gets depressed… or has a breakdown… before it transforms, powers through the cocoon… and flies!!!!!
You’re right on the money Matthew. I see it in my patients all the time. It’s what life is all about. Breaking through your resistance to create something better. This journey called life is amazing.
Keep up the fantastic work.
Hi Matthew –
This was ‘perfect’ for me to hear today. The last couple of weeks, I took a stand for what I REALLY wanted and then when into a temporary state of ‘shock’ when the relationships, business and other things I had been building up started crumbling dramatically around me — EVERYWHERE.
Thank you for reminding me that I am experiencing a shift in course — and that these shifts can be painful. That it is in my best interest to bless and be grateful to them — for they are the manifested reality of my shift in course — that my change in ‘thinking’ is effecting change in my physical life.
In gratitude,
Morgan
Thank You Matthew,
This is exactly where I have been for over a year now since I have went against the status quo and started to businesses in the past year and half. Even though, it’s been hard and almost excruciating at many times, it’s what I am supposed to be doing – I know this why? BEcause I didnt have a life long dream to do these things, they came to me from a deep down desire to make a change in these industries.
THank you for reminding me to “hang in there girl” and that it is all worth it and there is a lot of reward in what I do.
Thank you for sharing this Matthew,
I am willing to take a stand for a peaceful, happy life that I enjoy every moment of it. It’s great to know that the resistance and breakdowns in the current life is part of the process to moving to the next level.
I am so grateful that the universe has connected me with you.

Wow! Matthew this is perfect. I decided for a life change and them blam. Major resistance. In the past i would blame everything, be angry, fight everything in sight and never knew this was a part of the process. Truthfully this is a complete values, beliefs and habits change. Everything within myself is being questioned. Aha!
Just knowing that enlightenment changes everything.
