A friend on the internet writes, “I’ve watched your videos on manifesting and The Drunk Monkey and I’m wondering if there is a way to get my job back using your techniques. A group of people took revenge on me and got me fired. Can you help?”
To start, remember that you get what you focus on.
If you retaliate, you will bring more negativity upon yourself. Kids know it intuitively when they say, “I’m rubber, you are glue, whatever you say bounces off me, and sticks to you!”
The energy of retaliation is anger, hostility, revenge, and ultimately powerlessness. If you put that out, you will get it back and now you are really spiraling.
So, what is the alternative?
Are you going to get the job back? Not likely. Remember that when one door closes, another opens. Everything happens for a reason. What you want is trying to get into your life. If you honor that your back-stabbing workmates are just God supporting your intentions, then you can begin to look for what the opportunity is. This is not pseudo positivity. I’m not asking you to put your head in the sand. I’m asking you to take responsibility for the way you treated your back-stabbing associates. They didn’t take you down because you were Mr. Nice Guy. You get what you put out. So you got back from them what you put out to them.
This is an opportunity for you to make a new decision about where to put your thoughts. The question is, “Are you committed to being a powerless victim or the creator of your life?” If you are committed to being the creator of your life, then you must start to look at how you created this situation and how you can create the next situation in a positive way.
